			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://nissan.cars-blog.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2010-nissan-altima.jpg" alt="Top selling Nissan Altima" title="Top selling Nissan Altima" width="248" height="186" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-100" />Nissan North America has reported a decline in combined Nissan and Infiniti year-on-year car sales in the United States in August 2009 with a decline in sales from 108,493 units in August last year to 105,312 units this year, a decline 2.9 percent. However, sales for the Nissan Division sales rose 0.2 percent while sales of Infiniti vehicles decreased by 30.2 percent.</p>
<h2>Nissan Division</h2>
<p><span id="more-99"></span>The Nissan Division sold 97,580 units in August compared to the 97,417 units sold in August last year, representing a 0.2 percent increase. The top selling Nissan in August was the Nissan Altima with 26,833 units sold, followed by the Nissan Versa with 18,580 units, the Nissan Sentra with 16,396 units, and the Nissan Rogue with 10,476 sales. The Nissan Versa also recorded an increase in sales of 131.8 percent, followed by the Nissan Sentra with an increase of 78.1 percent, and the Nissan Rogue with an increase of 57.8 percent.</p>
<h2>Infiniti</h2>
<p>Nissan North America&#8217;s Infiniti luxury division did not fare as well with sales down from 11,076 units in August 2008 to 7,732 units this year. However, Infiniti recorded a 9 percent month-on-month increase in August compared with July this year.</p>

<h2>2010 Maxima</h2>
<p>The 2010 Nissan Maxima is available in two model variants: the Nissan Maxima 3.5 S and the Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV; both equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 and Xtronic CVT™ transmission with paddle shifters. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for the Maxima 3.5 S is set at $30,460 USD and $33,180 USD for the Maxima 3.5 SV.</p>
<p><span id="more-61"></span>Standard features on all 2010 Maxima models include new wheel finishes and a Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System. New or revised option packages are also available.</p>
<h2>2010 Sentra</h2>
<p>The 2010 Nissan Sentra receives a number of enhancements as well as MSRP reductions on most trim levels starting with a moderate $130 USD reduction on the entry level Sentra 2.0 CVT and ending with a significant $1,080 USD reduction on the Sentra SE-R and Sentra SE-R Spec V models.</p>
