			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://nissan.cars-blog.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/nissan-350z-project-zed.jpg" alt="Project Zed" title="Project Zed" width="248" height="186" class="alignleft size-full wp-image-84" />Owner and driver John Bradshaw has produced Project Zed, a Nissan 350Z Pro Class drag race car that does 0 to 60 mph in 1.2 seconds and 0 to 168 mph in just 4.1 seconds! Project Zed is powered by a 1,900 bhp 3.5-liter VQ V6 engine and is the first ever Pro Class 350Z dragster in Europe. The dragster will compete at the FIA European Finals at Santa Pod, September 10th to 13th 2009, where it will be the only Japanese engined car competing against American V8 powered cars.</p>
<p><span id="more-83"></span>Project Zed will compete in various classes, including Super Pro ET, Competitor Eliminator and HKS Series – Pro Class throughout the rest of 2009.</p>

<p><span id="more-28"></span>Back in April, Nissan’s Chief Test Driver, Toshio Suzuki set a new personal-best lap time at the Nürburgring driving the revised 2010 Nissan GT-R, which has 5 hp more than the previous model, as well as a revised transmission, new tires and a tweaked suspension. Those updates allowed the revised GT-R to do a 7:26.7 lap time, down from the 7:28 laptime greatly disputed by Porsche. The 7:26.7 laptime places the GT-R behind the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, which posted a 7:26.4 laptime. The Dodge Viper ACR is still the fastest, however, with a 7:22.1 laptime.</p>
